You know how you get the urge to rearrange the furniture or paint a room a dramatically different color? Yeah, that happened with my blog this week.
Same content, different look. (I sound like a food label: “New look, same great taste!”
Anyway, this week’s six are in the same scene in Shrapnel, where Dylan has just had her first kiss … with a ghost. I’ve skipped ahead a bit from last week to get to more “good stuff.”
He kisses me again, stopping my protest with his impossibly warm and soft lips. Can ghosts have warm lips? Because this one sure does. It’s even better than the first time, though the newness still sends sparks through my veins. He kisses the spot where my ear meets my jaw and I make a little sound I’ve never made before. This is—hands down—the most effed-up thing that’s ever happened to me, and that’s saying a lot.
Please be sure to check out the other Six Sunday participants — so many genres and different styles are represented. Have a great week!
Great six.
Whew! That’s a ver-ver steamy kiss! Great six!! Oh! And I *thought* your blog looked different, LOL! Very attractive. Good work. I read your post on the pirating thing, too. What a PAIN! Sheesh! I hope all your efforts to get your book off those sites is successful.
Thanks! Unfortunately, the burden of proof is all on the author/publisher so it’s a battle.
Love this six, and love her voice! Funny I’ve been itching to redo my blog too–get away from a template, etc…
What is it about effed up things that just makes a girl keep coming back? 🙂 Great six. When a girl finds herself making noises, she’s never heard something’s definitely happening.
Jackson is definitely a ghost that stirs mixed emotions–in Dylan and in the reader. Great six to show why she has a hard time resisting him!
I’m loving these snippets! Sorry to hear about the dreadful piracy situation, thanks for the advice.
Sounds like Jackson is something special, even if he is a ghost!
Mmm, kissing a warm ghost! I love the break from tradition. This is much better.
[sigh] that’s a nice kiss 🙂
The title of your book sounds perfect. I’m excited to learn more about where she met the ghost. I like the attraction and the kiss!
Wonderful, hot kiss… I loved this story.
Hey Steph! Just catching up on my sixes!
What a sensual six ~ love the picture too.
