Good Sunday morning! My apologies for not returning the favor to all who commented on my Six Sentence Sunday entry last week. I was a bit under the weather, but today is a new day!
In that vein, here’s something brand-new I’ve been working on. I had to redact a name to avoid spoilers, and had to choose carefully since I mostly write YA. (This WIP is decidedly not.)
Anyway:
[___] leans across the table and crooks her finger at me so I mirror her position. She says real low, “Now I think it’s you who needs to feel safe.”
Game over. Time to roll the credits.
“You wanna get out of here?”
“You have no idea.”
I hope all of you have a great week and thanks for any comments you care to leave. Please be sure to visit the other participants listed at SixSunday.com.
This sounds good!
Sounds great:)
Intriguing! Love the mystery you’ve created here!
You’ve certainly piqued my interest. Can’t wait to hear more! It’s always sexy when people crook their fingers…
OOOH! Can’t wait to find out more about this WIP, sounds enticing!
I’ll tell you about it at the Drink N Scrawl. 😉
I can’t go 😦 Falls on a Saturday I have to work…
Oh, Stephanie. This sounds sexy and intriguing. Can’t wait to read more!
Some of my favorite YA writers, write the (very) adult stuff too. 😉 Maybe that’s just my old lady sensibilities talking but even Cassandra Clare has hints of where she might have taken certain scenes had the director not said, “And cut!” making all the fan girls say, “Awwww”.
INDEED.
Not what I was expecting based on what I thought you are working on! Intrique is a good thing, though, and you’ve definitely created some with this six!
It’s what you think it is. 🙂
Well, allrighty then! 😉
Ah, his place or hers? Sounds like they plan to have fun, anyway. 🙂 nice six.
sounds like an interesting story, fantastic hook!
