ANYWAY, parts of Shrapnel–my latest upper-YA release–flash back to the Civil War in Mobile, Alabama, and one of the characters is a spirit whose bloody past won’t let him move on.
If Jackson were to send Dylanie a Valentine from his time period, it might look something like one of these:
