Good Sunday to you!

I have another six for you from Shrapnel, plus I can finally tell you my great news! First, the six. Here’s a snippet from Jake’s POV. He’s an empathic teen who can also “heal” people.

Since we’re celebrating something today, this is him just after he’s mastered a skill that will help him immensely (minds out of the gutter, people, heh):

“Congratulations. You’re a quick learner. Off you go now.”

I’m feeling pretty good about myself, but I still high-tail it to my room and spend an hour in lotus position, trying to slough off the primordial ooze Ashley and Dylan spewed at me earlier. It coats my brain like a brown layer of mold, the kind that grows in the gym showers at school and threatens to attack and drag freshmen down the drain into a tangle of man-hair and Axe body wash.

Tap, tap.

Hmm, who’s at his bedroom door? 🙂

I don’t have many details yet, but the tentative pub date is January 18. I’ve seen a mock-up of the cover and it’s HOT!!! I’ll let you know other details when I have them. Eeeeep! I’m very excited for you to have Shrapnel in its entirety. It’s a really fast-paced, wild ride and quite different from Want, though just as intense and dark. *evil grin*
